A Busy Year At The Library

A lot happened at the Ainsworth Public Library in 2016.  You can read all about it in the Annual Report to the town from Librarian Sarah Snow.

The news starts with the arrival of Miss Snow as the new librarian but that’s just the beginning.  Read the report to meet the new staff members and discover the programs that started or are continuing at the library.

You will find the report here.

Readers Book Available

The Williamstown Readers Group’s next title is now available at the library.  The Book is “Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library” and the discussion will be on Wednesday April 18 at the library.  We have multiple copies so come in and pick one up.  You can find out more about the book on the Readers Group page or by going to Amazon.

EBooks Now Available Through The Ainsworth

Did you know that owners of Kindles and other e-book readers can borrow books as part of being an Ainsworth patron?.  The library has partnered with ListenUp! Vermont and The Green Mountain Library Consortium to bring you this service.  It is provided through a service called Overdrive that some e-book readers may be familiar with.

All you need to access this new collection of hundreds of titles is you library card number and password.  Not sure of your password?  Call or come in and talk with us about using this great service.

Now just click on the logo below.  Type in Ainsworth Library and it will ask for your card number and password.  Then, start browsing all the titles available to you.  Happy Reading!

k_valentaThanks to a grant from the VT Department of Libraries, we will be hosting performer Kurt Valenta on Friday, August 19th at 2:30 pm. Exordium is an interactive program for children with a focus on nature. Kurt is known for his wonderful sense of humor and amazing knowledge of the outdoors. You do not want to miss this FREE program. Suitable for all ages.

The library would like to thank the Websterville Baptist Church & Christian School for their donation of a changing table. It fits perfectly in our bathroom. Thanks to Sandra Carlson we also have a nice shelf for our bathroom for patrons to put things on when they need to. We are still seeking one more floor light for our upstairs reading nook if you have one that you are not using.
